BABY JESUS TRILOGY
By Connie Wohlford
Though each book tells a charming stand-alone story, Joy Comes to
Bethlehem, His Name is Jesus, and He Is The ONE comprise a trilogy about the three things the Bible tells us about the King of kings as an infant. The central theme of each book focuses on a true story of Jesus as told by the gospel writer, Luke.
In order to captivate the attention of children each book contains a parallel fictitious donkey story. You’ll meet the mama donkey, Gil, whose name in Hebrew means Joy and her foal, Elpis (pronounced el-peesé), which means Hope in Greek.
In Joy Comes to Bethlehem, travel with Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, encountering dangers and hardships along the way. Here again read the wonderful story of the birth of The Savior. Then in His Name is Jesus read about the awe-inspiring ceremony at eight days of age, focusing on Jesus’ name, miraculously given by His Heavenly Father. Next, in He Is The ONE, learn of the astonishing events that occurred when Joseph and Mary took little Jesus to the Temple for dedication.
Enjoy the setting and the perspective of the adorable and faithful beasts of burden. Join with the characters in the joy and hope that’s found in Yahweh, God the Father and Yeshua, Jesus the Son. These three enchanting stories are carried along with beautiful illustrations, each a detailed watercolor painting by Virginia artist, Molly Keller.
Though categorized as children’s books, (ages 3-12), the stories and the extraordinary art are enjoyed by young and old alike.

As you may have heard me say, I first wrote these stories for my eight grandchildren. I wanted them to know that the Bible tells more about Baby Jesus than the Christmas story. AND while writing, I felt strongly impressed that God was telling me to get them into print for others to enjoy and learn from.
